当園の美味しいあらかわの桃作りの「舞台裏」をちょっとだけご紹介します!
あらかわの桃の美味しさと美しさを引き出すために、収穫前にこんな工夫をしています。

カーテンを開けるように袋を剥がす それまで二重袋(二重の袋)で遮光していたあらかわの桃の外袋を剥がします。

シルバーシートで太陽の光を反射! 木の下に敷いたシートで、まぶしい太陽の光を下からも浴びせます。
この工夫をすることで、実が、日焼けの赤茶色とは全く違う「鮮やかで素晴らしいピンク色」へと劇的に変わっていくんです!
このひと手間があるからこそ、見た目も美しく、甘くて美味しいあらかわの桃に育ちます。

Here is a little look behind the scenes of how we grow our beautiful and delicious “Arakawa Peaches”—the famous premium brand-name peaches from Wakayama, Japan!
We put a lot of care into the final steps before harvest to bring out their incredible sweetness and beauty.

Opening the Curtains: Removing the Outer Bags We carefully remove the outer layer of the double-layered shading bags that have been protecting the peaches. It’s just like opening a curtain to let the light in!

Reflecting the Sun with Silver Sheets! We spread silver sheets on the ground under the trees to reflect the bright, dazzling sunlight up onto the peaches from below.
By doing this, the fruit transforms dramatically into a “vibrant and beautiful pink,” which is completely different from a dull, sunburnt reddish-brown.
This extra effort is our secret to growing Arakawa peaches that are not only stunning to look at but also incredibly sweet and juicy.
